We generally act as the data controller for account, security, verification, support, and platform-operation data. Organizations using BuildKola act as controllers for project and user data they manage within their workspace.

Account and profile data: Name, email address, phone number, authentication credentials, social login identifiers, and account preferences;
Organization and role data: Business details, organizational membership, role permissions, and staff invitations;
Project evidence and media: Uploaded photos, video streams, receipts, reports, milestone documentation, and project metadata;
Location and device metadata: Geolocation coordinates, timestamping, camera EXIF metadata, IP address, device model, and OS version collected during evidence uploads or verification check-ins;
Verification and inspection records: Milestone approvals, inspector notes, verification outcomes, and audit logs;
Payout and financial references: Resolved bank names, masked account numbers, payout destinations, and transaction references (handled safely via payment processor integrations);
AI processing inputs: Photos, videos, and project evidence submitted for automated consistency checks and verification assistance;
Communications and support: Support requests, transaction emails, and operational notifications.

Create, manage, and secure user accounts and multi-factor authentication;
Facilitate milestone tracking, evidence collection, and independent project verification;
